neophytes in necropolis

in lost souls

CH - front

Something about an abandoned hospital inconveniently located at a secluded spot that stops you in your rat race tracks and forces you to ponder about mortality.

Welcome to Necropolis (formerly known as Changi Hospital (CH))

… so a budding Yoshitomo Nara of a neophyte, with an explorer’s thirst for charting unknown and forbidden territories humorously declared:

Necropolis Explorers

Nevermind how I landed myself in this spooky spot, but no, I wasn’t looking for that sort of kicks. Let’s just say steel-thirsty commercial vultures did their work salvaging every scrap of raw material they could find,  exposing a large enough ditch that would trap ALL unsuspecting non-4×4 exploratory wheelers. I kid you not, but yes… you may start laughing now.

CH is apparently situated on state owned property, but sans security guard, full accessibility is granted to the premise. And in an otherwise stifling civil structure back in the real world, that creates endless opportunities for unleashing the creative basal instinct in us all. The evidence was all around.

The graffiti beckoning but not having even a pen in sight, let alone spray paint, to write the obligatory I was Here, I felt entrenched in creative purgatory.

Next best thing to kill time with, and calm nerves down, was to snap a few low quality pictures with a 2nd Gen camera phone (this happened a while ago), while waiting for the tow truck to come.

CH - A&E

Shutterbugs and Bansky disciples, go forth and make your mark… before this creative playground morphs into yet another resto-resort for more holidaymakers.

CH -back

A budding art collector and supporter of emerging artists, she slogs to prevent collateral damage to her bank account resulting from occasional manic art buying sprees.

…. unfortunately i’m barbaric and am devoid of all opinions when it comes to art expecting more lewd images from Thang D nasty but maybe one day these images will sow the seeds of creativity within the barren landscape of my mind…… seriously the thoughts of filling up the comment box with more mindless rambling was seductive but i figured since u already have ur bloomberg chatscreen defaced on a daily basis by me … i shall grant u some reprive. On a side note…… who goes to spooky places during the day anyway?

Hehh Spaztik,

Your euh… self-proclaimed barbarous inarticulation is much appreciated and I look forward to you extending your defacing activities from my IB chat window to my comment box.

But as for your request for a certain genre of photography, I believe your continuing patronage will be very much appreciated by: PBOY US [EQUITY] [GO]
