This Chanel Paper Bag, spotted by J&J, was seen roaming the streets in full understated glory. With a hand-drawn, bashed-up look, could this luxurious end-product be a reflection of one of the following:
1. Assuming it’s the real thing: Global recession cum Go Green-inspired designs have finally filtered down the vertical processes at the House of Coco.
2. This is part of some retrenched-but still delusional-and persistently sikit atas (slight air of pretentious superiority)-Investment Banker’s Luxury DIY Domestic Collection.
3. Some Artist decided to spread the good word about the decadence of financial excesses, consumer promiscuity and irresponsible innovations that:
(a) triggered the downfall of the U.S as an economic powerhouse,
(b) have compromised the meaning of 20th Century Capitalism and stress-tested existing robust-but-irrelevant economic models, thereby sending not a few Neo-Liberal economists on a “Do Not Pass Go” path to the poorhouse or L’A.N.P.E.
What’s your take?

I think its a piece of crap if its by Chanel, but a brilliant piece of work if its by some artist.
I suppose if Murakami could do an LV and pull it off, why not another provocation or “exaltation” of yet another luxury brand eh..
